As far as adjusting the cold start idle, first thing you want to do is replace the lower bolt (the T25 Torx) on the idle lever with a hex bolt. You will need a M5 x 0.80 bolt that is quite short. This makes it MUCH easier to adjust the position of the lever when the pump is on the engine. After that, it's just a matter of making sure the cold-start mechanism is set at the lowest idle and advance so it doesn't interfere with the overall settings, set the general pump timing/idle/fueling, and adjust the cold-start advance and idle to your liking.

thank you for your answers. hope it will start even if the lever isn't adjusted properly, and then i will adjust it on a working engine. i plan on buying optical tachometer soon
The injectors were genuine bosch remans about 1 and half years ago. Factory set to 155 bar as this pump was meant to run with. I still have this AAZ pump which I'm going to fit soon.
I just find it weird my engine runs fairly normally at 1.25mm advance. There is a little bit more smoke when cold than i would like, and on WOT. If the pump is set to factory its way too retarded.
