So, not sure where to begin.. I have done many radio/stereo installations and I look at my rabbit dash and wonder what is going to support or how I am going to support the support for the radio

The dash, thin plastic piece on top and bottom and no place to secure a radio and protect the dash from vibrations etc...
the bezel, even thinner piece of plastic, not going to do anything.
There are no supports being the dash.
What do I do?
picture of what metal and/or brackets connected to the car in radio installation area.
81 and later rabbits are cake, along with any other vw thats post-81
that must be a car earlier than an 81?
the cars that didnt have stereos factory, are a bit more challenging..
yeah, the chassis is a 79-80
FML
I already had to make brackets to install the dash, lol.. now I have to make something to hold the radio up?
Well complaining about it isnt going to get it done, any suggestions?
i briefly owned one of those cars, and didnt do too much looking into putting a stereo in it, but it didnt look fun.. or easy.
I don't have anything holding my deck up in my MK2... its just in the plastic insert that IS the dash

no biggie... there is probably a gap somewhere from it pulling down but what ever... i wouldn't be too worried about it so long as you can get it to jam in there snuggly.
but i see your problem... haha... Looks like you'll have to hillbil- i mean custom fabricate something to work
yeah, i will have to figure out something.. It is all still in the works.
