Prothe Injector Nozzles
« on: October 12, 2010, 08:46:59 pm »
I'm currently looking for nozzles for my ALH, and I noticed that Prothe has sets for sale for $89, hes got 205, 216 and 240 :o. I was wondering if Anyone has had a chgance to use them. I know all about prothe and the quality on certain items. I am budget orriented due to being in College.

PS my ALH has 420K on it and is time for some new Nozzles lol

I don't know of any professional that will install and/or balance Prothe nozzles...that's the state of their rep.  :P

Almost the same price... but much higher quality,  and Canadian vendor, eh:

I sent a set of these to Giles who said they flowed and balanced just fine. Folks on TDIclub.com report no issues running 'em... I'll let you know 10K km from now!

I ran prothes complete injectors for a time.

Now I'm not sure it was fair though because turns out the heatshields where installed improperly so after 5k it had a horrible idle and smoked allot. Baked the tips.  >:(

I sent them complete to Duane and had new tips installed.

So as I mentioned I'm not to sure that's a fair assessment of them. I will say however I had one that leaked and he sent me a replacement very fast.

For the cost of Bosio's or veg-injection tips I'm not sure it's worth it.
