Well, since the time of death had been called on my little '85 Golf i have been in the middle of moving and didn't have time to tear down the engine and begin a rebuild. Sooo, I wrapped up my weekend of moving by driving 110 miles to pick up my latest little gem. I scored a 1990 Wolfsburg Jetta Diesel. With the exception of some repairable body damage where something REALLY big hit the right sail panel the body and interior on this little gem is in excellent condition.
I know posts like this one are useless without pictures, and i appologize for not having any yet. I have not been able to get home before dark to take any yet. But i will get some posted soon.
So now i can take my sweet time rebuilding the Golf the way I want it.
Sorry, but I'm nine kinds of excited and had to tell someone who might give a rats behind about my 'new' little vw.

Haha I know exactly what that's like, I tell people about my stuff and they're like "that's dumb why do you keep getting old junk".........hence why I come to this forum.
new rides are awesome, until they give you the finger about 800 times, then they dont seem soo cool anymore.. but it seems like you wont be having the same problems with your new diesel. sounds like someone actually cared for it a little bit.

Yeah, the Golf was/is beat to crap and the previous owner knew nothing about diesels. Only thing he knew was that if you pour fryer grease in it mixed with a little diesel it runs.

The jetta has a couple issues to address, the HVAC controls don't seem to function correctly. Everythingcomes out the dash vents and nothing from the defroster. But compared to the Golf that's small taters.
