GT2052V on a fairly stock AFN...
« on: September 24, 2010, 03:18:28 pm »
Woo the forum is back!  8)

I have a GT2052V on an otherwise fairly stock AFN (.205s, stock chip). I'm assuming that if I just fire it up as-is the ECU will get upset about the turbo making more boost than it expects and go in to limp-mode?

I need to get it driveable before I get a tune, so is there anything I can do to make the ECU happy with the turbo as a temporary measure? I'm wondering if adjusting the VNT actuator would stop it making max boost? I've read about a zener diode mod to the MAP sensor too - would this help?

Thanks all  :)

throw a 3 bar map sensor on it that will up the boost some but you need more fuel. It will likely run fine may be a little laggy till you add some fuel.

Ok I've been looking for a 3 bar MAP, and discovered I have a sensor from the 2.5 V6 part number 059 906 051. Does anyone have any idea how many bar this one is for please?

Thanks  :)

3 bar part number is 038-906-051 c   With out tuning for it it will cause the check engine light to come on but it will work great.
