I'm installing an 1.9TD AAZ into a Quantum Wagon. I've got the filter flange off my 1.6TD, but it won't work on the AAZ, and the AAZ filter flange will not clear the motor mount on the engine. I'm hoping against all odds that someone in Canada or Europe will have what I need.
I need the oil filter flange off one one of the following models
Audi 80 with 4 cyl (diesel or gas)
T4 Transporter with 4cyl motor
Possible Part numbers:
028 115 417G (preferred)
048 115 417A
028 115 417B
048 115 417B
Help appreciated!
Pic for reference (stolen from another forum). I think the ABL-code mount LACKS the oil pressure switch on the bottom of the mount. Also I'm not sure if they all look like this, but the main thing is the angle, and the mounting base. I need an oil filter mount with a 15-degree swept-back angle on the flange, and the mounting base (the part that bolts to the block) must look like the one in the pic.
Also, I'm told that there was an OEM oil flange in that year range (about 1992-1998) with fittings for an external oil cooler on top of the flange (like the Euro oil cooler). I'd be interested in one of those also.
Obviously, I'd like to buy one of these, but if you just happen to have information, I'd appreciate that too!
Thanks

I am also looking for one like that too. Any one have one?

Turns out, the flange used on the 1997-2006 Passat AEB, ATW code motors, and the Audi A4 with the same codes are similar enough to work. The problem is, finding them. I just picked one (fllange) off a 2001 Audi A4 wagon at my local pick and pull. It would not have had the motor if it were not a flood car (from this summer's flood in Nashville). Seems like I can make it work. It's not ideal, but neither is the ABL flange. But, the good news is the base (where is mounts to the block) is correct, and it has the swept-back 15-degree angle on it. Good enough in my book.
I have a AEB one hanging around if anybody needs one.
