I've just got back my job as a machinist, working on automotive production machines. One of the perks of the job is I get to abuse the lathe/mill after work.
Whats the process to drill the squirters into the oil galley?
I assume it something like:
-Mill the surface flat
-Tilt head the right amount of degrees to hit the galley
-Drill, drill smaller then the od of the squirter (I have stock OEM VW ones here)
-Mill/bore/ream out the final hold (perpendicular) to seat the squirter in.
Sound about right? Never done any block work before.

I plan to do this to a hydro na block I've got. The only thing I'm unsure of is the length of tooling specifically milling the bore. You might be able to center drill, drill and ream instead of milling the pocket.
I'm not sure how soon I'll get to this though. Let us know how well it works.

BMW has banjo-style squirters that only need one hole. They were $11 each at Brian Jessel in Vancouver. They also have a nice valve inside the bolt that closes at low pressure. It was easy and I did it by hand. If I had a mill though...
The squirters go in the block not the head.
Did it sound like they didn't?

I want to think that only the Hydro blocks had the milled surface, or perhaps it's as Andrew noted: only 12mm blocks. I guess you'll let us know when you pull the pan.
