Thats a good looking car there VtaminD !

You might would be interested in a very rare unique piece i have been hoarding for a couple years.

I've got an aftermarket rear spoiler made for mk1 Jetta / Fox trunk lids. It was made back in the day, when the cars were new.
NLA for a long time now.
Its thick solid dense black rubber, in great shape.

Wraps over the edge on back and covers about 2 inches on top of deck and 2 inches on back of deck. Has notch over trunk lock button.

I posted about it on Vortex a couple years ago and got some cool feedback on it. Was gonna sell it then and backed out. Because when i laid it on an Mk2 trunk - it also fit kinda nice. They don't have the lock button like mk1 - but "was going to use it anyway".
Has never happened.

I had some pix on an old Pbucket account of it that i posted on Vortex. Don't know if can still access it, and if they would still be on there.
Will try to see.

I need it bad. Washed the Jetta and about 4 gallons of water leaked in through the door cards. Happened when I tested as soon as I put the water to the side windows  :'(

Do you mean for the rear doors ?

If yes, then yes i will.
And its nice stuff.

But ... you'll be buying a pair of rear doors basically - and i'll pull what you want off of them.  :)

$100 to go that way.

Get back over to the mk2 section ! lol
This is an mk1 parting out.  ;)

You probably need the roofline belt molding/weatherstrips - and possibly the door jamb rubbers too. I can get door jamb rubbers like new for mk2 - roofrail pieces will take some more beatings of the bushes. But have a fresh prospect that can be surveyed.

Check what you got and lemme know what you need.

Okay, we crossed horizons while posting.

I'll check on some of those for you ---- from an MK2.
Check your roofline molding/weathestrips !

If water is getting in the car heavy, doubt all of it is coming in around the window seals - most of that would go out the lower drains in the bottom of doors.

I had my daughter spray the car while I was in it. I would have her spray at each body line and wait a minute or two before moving up. I had 0 water until the side windows. After about 5 seconds there was a steady pour coming through the door cards. I had her stop and in a few seconds it stopped. I had her continue to do this on and off for a little while and decided to spray more of the car. The only stuff that got in was the side windows.
Maybe my drains are completely blocked, but I didn't think it looked like they were. I even had Glass Dr. brother in law come out to replace the front glass if needed and he said it was the factory glass. Looked pristine and most of the seals did and he had no clue other than to spray with water when we could.
Either way let me know what you find.

Wow, you really got some bad window seals man.

What year model is yours ?
There is a little window, and a big window on mk2.

Think its 85-87 is little (has a triangle artificial vent window up front that does nothing)

And 88-92 is just one big solid piece of glass - without a triangle piece.

It is the 4 door 86 with the triangle that does not a thing

I have an 81 MK1 caddy and i don't know if it matters if the seals are from the back or the front.  100 for all the seals around the door????  i will be willing to pay for that IF I know they will work on my front doors....
