Temperature issues
« on: August 03, 2010, 10:07:12 am »
Ok so I replaced the waterpump the other day along with the t-stat. All seemed to go well but the temperature was sitting just over the half way mark. Alot hotter than before. All pipes felt hot so thought it may be a dodgy t-stat. I got another one and it's doing the same thing. I have just checked the pipes from the rad to the block and the lower one is cold but was not up to what is now full temperature

Any ideas on what's up would be great.

My engine is fairly new, at highway speeds once fully warm runs at 97 to 100°C (200-212°F).  I think this is with a 95° stat.
