Source for injection pump throttle bushings
« on: May 17, 2011, 01:57:33 pm »
Anyone know an online source for IP throttle shaft bushings aside from Prothe and my local Bosch dealer. I've got a couple really bad bushings that I need to swap out.

Thanx.

I don't know of any others, but why don't you think the Prothe ones are "good enough" for this application?

They don't look like the originals, and I'm afraid they might leak.

'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

A lot of Prothe's parts either aren't to spec, or they're dissimilar to the OEM, or they're just horrible knockoffs. Now with all things, I'm sure there are *some* parts he sells that are reliable....but with him, I hear you have to take your chances and it's hit or miss.

Just rotate them 180 degrees. If they still leak it's not like they are hard to change.
