Let me know if you need MKI GTI parts
« on: June 17, 2010, 11:58:16 pm »
I will be parting my 83 GTI. It is inari silver. The hood and fenders are good, but most of the rest of the body is shot. All glass is good except the windsheild. Blue interior isn't bad. 2H trans, good 90mm cv shafts. 1.8 8v all CIS parts. 4 button GTI steering wheel *I might keep that and turn it into GTD*
Good struts and has the sway bar that connects the a arms under the car.

Basically, I am keeping the tires and the alt, water pump, and pulleys everything else is up for grabs.

Make a reasonalble offer for a part and I probably won't say no. I just want to pick it apart and scrap the rest. It is still a running car now if someone wants the entire thing, but the rear ripped off a little from under the right side.

Engine died, pulling it apart, putting something new in it's place.

If I can keep the alt and brackets, and my snowflake rims  you can have the rest for 500 as I need to pick up my trans tomorrow :D I figure I can get that much out of the engine, cis, and trans parting.

How much for the front swaybar and mounting hardware?
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Does this have a working tach?    Any chance of getting the two vents out of the dash in one piece? I don;t care about color...

Hows abooot the warm-up regulator down there in the belly button of the block? And the braided lines which go from it to the fuel dist. head?
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.

Sorry as I missed that swaybar deal. I will check things out on pricing, but I told my brother in law about this and his cousin wanted to buy it and he just told me. I would rather sell this to you guys. I will let you know what I will do shortly. Tomorrow I turn 32 and wifey says no GTD or VW wrenching on my Bday, so I will deal with it Monday :D
