1986 Volkswagen Golf Diesel. Naturally aspirated. 212,000 on odometer. I've owned this car for 2 years and it has been great. Has never left us stranded, Always started and gets great fuel mileage. The engine was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago and runs perfect.

- block bored out 1mm (by vee village)
- head rebuilt (by vee village)
- new mahle pistons, rings
- rebuilt injectors with mercedes nozzles
- new bosch glow plugs
- new complete water pump (housing and pump)
- new thermostat
- new radiator
- newer engine mounts
- injection pump rebuilt by Pro Diesel in 2002
- new block heater
- new rear wheel bearings
- new windshield
- plus many more newer parts installed by the previous owner
- a book full of receipts dating back to 1992

The car has single round headlight conversion with badgeless grill, smoked tails and turn signals, gti rear hatch with spoiler, gti 'fuba' style antenna, gti sport seats (non-recaro), mk3 center console, tarantula wheels, good hankook tires, big bumpers, fender flares.

Everything works on the car except the emergency brake and cd's won't work in the cd player.

The paint is fair. The car was originally maroon, the previous owner painted it jazz blue, then I painted it Anthracite. I just did it real quick in my garage in the winter time. The paint isn't horrible but it's definitely not show quality and the car has some dents here and there.

The car drives on the highway easily at 75. I choose to keep it at 70 and speed up to 75 occasionally if needed to get around something. It pulls the hills on 435 just well without slowing down. I think that's pretty good for something with only 52hp. I keep a log of mileage and I range from 37-43 and that's all in town driving. If you drive it economically you'd get mid 40's consistently.

It's been a great car but I need to sell it. I now have a new daily driver and I have literally 7 cars in my drive way.

Give me a call if you want to come take a look.
I'm located in south kc in belton
