• Just curious, on an mk2, once it hits the red on the gas gauge, how much further do you guys usually go or how many litres are left?

• My 89 is empty when it drops just a hair below 1/4 tank.
  Dead flat empty going no further. lol
  I refill at 1/2 mark'ish zone and takes 10-11 gallons.
  
  
  Just saying, almost all will be different.
  Don't trust it until you test it refilling at 1/2 and at 1/4 and so on.
  Total capacity is like 14.5 gallons

• Thanks for the info. I filled it up about just above half way in the red zone and I still had 15 litres left (if my tank is 55 litre, which most seem to say)
