Golf Syncro Mtdi (MKIII)

Figured I should post something about this before I sell it.

96 MKIII golf with Mtdi (ALH), T2 turbo, 2 1/2" exhaust with single muffler, Volvo FMIC, 2 1/2" intake tubing, Stock injectors.

4" lift - 3" in the suspention and 1" from the wheels (205-70-15 on estorils), 1 1/2" body lift from the subframes to the body.

Passat syncro gearbox, modified single hanger propshaft, with passat rear susp and diff.

Twin fuel tanks under rear seat with Stock rear floor pan, including trunk and spare tire well (ok one small dent - but still fits spare).

Conversion took about 6 months after all the parts were collected, and has run flawlessly for 30,000 km. Gets 5 l/100km, will run away from the wifes 2000 tdi, and is a total hoot in the snow.

I built the pump my self to Tintin's specs about a year ago. It has the ALH camplate, head / rotor, and timing spring / covers. The fuel control lever assy pivot is raised, long throw throttle lever, and shimmed govenor assy. Pressure regulator is the early style with the oblong orafaces and increased operating pressure. New vanes / seals / etc. as per any pump rebuild. Perhaps a gilles pump would be better, But this one still feals better than my E-tdi, and gets better milage.
