'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

could someone get me the measurements from the exhaust / intake surface on the head to the centerline of the VNT 17 and the relationship from the deck surface to how far up/down the centerline of the intake of the turbo? Not a bad run on sentence eh? Let me know if it makes sense to you...basically a vertical and horizontal measurements from a known location on the block to the center of the turbo inlet.
Wouldn't be bad to know the OD of the turbo inlet either :D

US or Euro spec VNT? i have a us spec vnt bolted to my 1.5 sitting on the floor...

US...I think I could get away with a euro as is. But parts for them are a pain from what I gather. The US 17 is what I eventually want to run. If you can let me know where the intake is in relation to the engine so I can repeat it that would be awesome.

Could you take a square to the oil pan up to the intake for that VNT. Let me know where the center is and I will be good. A picture from the TB side of the engine would be great to. Pretty square to the side of the engine too. I want to make this before I get the VNT so it will be and easier add:D
