I scored integra projector headlights for 20 bucks. The plastic housings were damaged but the aluminium bits are in good shape. I also scored a mint rain tray, weighted shifter rod, adjustable mk2 mirrors, headlight switch, and have to go back for the manual moon roof. total for the day 35 bucks.

Got a set of deeza brand control arms with ball joints and bushings from amazon for just under $25 bucks shipped ;D. That's slightly cheaper than ONE deeza ball joint which is what I needed. Within an hour or two the price was back at $42.67 each.

I'll be pulling the bushings and replacing them with prothanes.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

I recently discovered this place up in the Catskills... VW Parts Inc in Fleischmanns, NY. Hopefully they didn't get washed out too badly last week, that town got hit REALLY hard by the flooding from Irene.
All VAG late-model vehicles, a couple of acres of them. The photos concentrate on the vans, but there's a healthy cross-section of VAG product in there.

Snagged a saab turbo thermostatic sandwich plate and it's oil cooler for $20 hehe.

Same jy also does glass so asked 'em about a rabbit windshield, they actually had one in stock!!! ;D ;D He said they'd had it for about 8 years so I bought it, $220 installed which is more than I wanted to pay but now I don't have to stare through cracks and spiders......It was bad. I got hit by a rock a couple years ago that instantly spidered out 6-8 inches and then over time spread top to bottom and side to side. That combined with the oooold cracks that where bubbling inside the glass and misc rock chips and massive sandblasting made  it a hazzard to drive especially into the sun.

Found a diesel rabbit local with a PERFECT windshield..........go figure, I just bought one last week.... The people want me to come take it away. It's rusty junk but it's got lots of good parts and hasn't been looted like my current parts car. ;D

That field of caddys is a thing of beauty! Last time I was at the junkyard I picked up the euro sport header that I am using in my jetta build. The time before that I got a set of recaros that were freshly reupholstered  for 25 bucks (and buy one get one free!), and a neuspeed short shifter +weighted shift rod for $10. I love spending a day out there  every few weeks <3

Got it for free. Not that I even need it for any of my cars, but I will use it to build my VNT engine mounts and make them universal
