I know i should post this in the f/s section (and i did) but i dont think its getting enough views and my present car is pissing me right off right now.
If the moderator wants to delete this fine but help a guy out here so i can get back into the diesel scene......

(original post:)
I really want to get another diesel, needs to be a 90-92 Golf 2Dr. with minimal, if any rust (floors have to be good at least) not big on km's cause... well... its a VW diesel , otherwise anything else is free game.

BUT I need to sell/trade my car first, so if anyone knows of someone selling a golf looking for a family/gas/or newer car please let me know.

My car is a 97 Saturn SL2, 50K on motor/tranny, 250K on body every option avail., (sun roof doesn't work though) auto, keyless, etc. I'll post pics if anyone is intested. But i would trade it for a golf+some cash

thanks for ANY help in my search,
Jeff

A good friend of mine has a `94 (I think) A3 Golf TDI.  Yes, you read that right.  It started life as a gasser, I believe, but the TDI motor has been transplanted completely the right way, full electronics, drive-by-wire throttle, etc., etc.  The owner, who also did the swap, is the head technician at Woodstock VW and someone I consider THE Diesel Wizard.

When I last talked to Gerry, the car was just finished and licenced, but he's unsure if he'll keep it as he has a burgeoning fleet in the household and yet another new car in the stable (insurance for a two-person household with like 4 or 5 cars, all VW Diesels, gets expensive...)

He also built up a totally customized A1 Caddy with a crazy TDI engine that did a 113 MPH pass in the 1/4 mile a few months ago.  That's his baby and his toy, and I'm looking forward to seeing that Caddy breeze into the 12-second E/T range next season when it can actually hook up.

I donno if this Golf TDI will be in your budget, nor if he's even committed to selling it, but if you're interested, contact Gerry at gdewit at sympatico dot ca and tell him TDIMeister sent you.
