will an exhaust system from a mkIII golf bolt onto a MKIII Jetta?

Also, I have a k14 turbo with a giles performance pump running 18psi for boost. I was thinking of opening up the exhaust, what would be the biggest size exhaust I would need for my setup? Would 2.5 inch work better than the stock? If I went from the downpipe back with just straight 2.5 inch pipe would I also have to upgrade the downpipe to get the best results or would the stock one work fine??

just so you know, the stock exhaust is the biggest performance downfall on these cars. go 2.5 all the way from the turbo to the bumper. you wont be disappointed.

If you change to a 2.5" or even to a 3" turbo back exhaust you wont beleive how much the stock set up holds your car back.

good to know. Can a 3 inch downpipe fit in that small space?? I will have to find someone to make one for me, I will probably go with just the regular steel instead of stainless since stainless will probably cost me a small fortune.

DON'T USE STEEL!!! When making a downpipe or the whole system for that matter the price difference in materials
isn't that great, so long as you know where to get the good deals. In the end you'll have a system that will look great
for years and still hold it's value. You've seen the pictures of mine and that's after 5-6 years of salt-ridden Toronto area
winters, and it still looks like new (actually better than new) after spending a couple of hours of polishing.

BTW, 3" would be real difficult to get in there, it'll come close to hitting the heater hoses and the steering rack.
My 2.5" only has about 1-1.5" of clearance to those parts and 3" is not only larger in diameter but also the radius of it.

Downpipe to cat is the same on a Jetta or Golf.  From the rear axle to the bumper is different on the Jetta since the Jetta is a longer car.
