Lightening a single mass flywheel??

Title says it all, is it possible to lighten a single mass flywheel? If so, how many pounds would you guys take it down to? And how does the machine go about lightening it? The machine shop, everyone I've asked, and myself found out the hardway you can't lighten a dual mass, so I'm goin to a single lol. BY the way it's goin on on mk4 tdi golf.
