The LDA limits off boost fueling so you don't have smoke. Or it enables more fuel when under boost, whichever way you want to look at it.
Basically on a TD pump when you have no boost you have say a max of 100ccs. When you have boost that now changes to 130cc max. On the NA pump you will either always have 100ccs or 130cc depending on how far in you wind the max fuel screw. I made those numbers up btw.
Ultimately the fuel is controlled by your right foot but I would imagine if you are at the 130cc setting on a NA pump you will get high EGTs and smoke because well, right feet tend to end up on the floor
