I have found a 1994 JettaIII GL with s/n 3VWRP01H1RM033071 According to the V.I.N. decoder the fifth digit should tell me what engine is in the car . The letter is P and is not on the list

Can anyone tell me what engine is in this car . I have read there was a 2.0 liter TD available for this car . I can,t get the hood open to get a visual on the engine serial tag. Can anybody tell me what engine is in this car

Is it a Canadian car? If so, it should be a 1.9 liter turbo diesel, engine code AAZ

If it isn't a Canadian car, it could be almost anything. I'm assuming it's a diesel
