1985 Jetta Turbo Diesel (original TD)
with original Garrett T3.
Mileage: unknown, odo reads 90k, and seems to be original cluster, odo did not work when I bought the car. PO said the car had 180k on it, but how could you accurately mark 100k miles??
Suspension:
BC Racing coilovers,
Autotech hollow sways F&R
Lower front tie bar, upper rear tie bar
New control arms (seam welded)
with poly bushings, and new ball joints.
15" G60 steelies, with brand new Bridgestones.
Engine:
Recently (<5k miles) built:
New rod bearings and rings, timing belt and tensioner, ContiKit.
new HD oil pump, new water pump, oil pan gasket / windage tray
Rebuilt injectors (Giles in Canada)
rebuilt head (same one, just gone through)
Custom MLS head gasket, (Gaskets-to-Go)
ARP racing head studs torqued to 110 lb-ft.
Engine should hold 35 PSI.

Turbo:
Original Garrett T3,
Currently set at 19PSI with MBC
3" inlet with big K&N
3" SS turbo back. All custom fabbed, mandrel bent, tig welded, a true work of art. 4 All SS V-bands throughout, 3" down the tunnel, to a 2.5" SS mandrel bent over axle piece from TT, with resonator (the only muffling in the whole system) but very quiet....
New feed and return lines and oil pan from the dealership
Aircraft / Spruce Thermocouple with VDO gauge, probe installed preturbine. Hits max of 1250 on WOT 5th gear pulls.... very safe.
Brakes: functional, but not upgraded.
Interior:
Recaro GTi fronts from big bumper GTi.
MOMO Personal steering wheel with quick release hub
I will have to keep the Schroth harnesses, though.
Original factory seatbelts fully functional.
Exterior:
Little rust in the corners (windshield, doors)
Sahara Beige (cool color)
Lowered (see also, slammed)
Hella 550 lights - yellow. Upgraded to 100w bulbs, and upgraded to a 25A relay.
GLi rear spoiler
Roof rack and Yakima bars will stay with me, and go on my Golf. Sorry..
Accessories replaced within the last year and a half:
Radiator and hoses, Starter, battery, glow plugs and wiring, (Pimped ala Vince Waldon)
new Axles and boots, New rear wheel bearings,
I know I am forgetting a lot of stuff
Also, Every part I have put on the car is the right stuff. Only German parts from good suppliers. When my Radiator failed last week, I bought a brand new radiator, new rad hoses, and all rad mounts new. Thats just how I roll.
I know A2s well, having driven nothing except A2/A3 4 cylinder cars since 96.
This is a great car.
The only stuff left to do would be the bodywork and paint (if you dont like the durty diesel look)
and if you want to max out the turbo, custom intake manifold, and FMIC or water / meth.
Lets call it $5,000.....
with a little bit of negotiation room.
I am not really looking for a trade,
but hey, the worst I can do is say no, right?
