FS: NOS MKII Golf GTD Intercooler and Brackets $150.00

I bought this stuff a while back, put it in a box and figured I'd never use / sell it, one of those VW things that you just sort of hang to. However, a couple weeks ago I bought some snappy Leather MKIII seats for my Jetta and now I've got a bee in my bonnet to redo the interior and am impatient. I want it done THIS Spring... Along with a few other things That being said..

New Old Stock never been used or installed Golf MkII GTD intercooler and mounting brackets. $150.00 + shipping.  You never see GTD intercoolers this side of the pond let alone brand spanking new. The brackets still have VW / Audi Parts tags on them and everything has at least 1 decade of shelf dust on still on them in places. The intercooler has a few bent fins form spending it's entire life on the shelf, nothing too bad that can't be straightened.

I might try it on the vortex or maybe not. Offered it here first, then there is always eBay but, now that it's been a few days I've cooled off a bit, not is such a rush but, really want to get the interior done and these babies in.....

Are those the only brackets needed?
 I've seen the GTD setup before and there are pieces that keep the hot air from the radiator away from it,.. is that what the black pieces do?

No, The brackets just hold the intercooler and ducting place. I know the pieces you mean, the plastic ducting between the raditor and the engine, and another that sits over the battery that directs the intake cool airflow from the core support behind the drivers head light.

I know this because I have a complete used setup also.

I'll put it this way... By the time it was paid for and shipped it cost just about as much as the ECOdiesel donor I bought on craigslist   . For someone to get me to part with it they'd need to tack a double digit % onto that to even get my attention.


Now, if someone happened to show up with a nice shiny Marlin 1894 Lever Action and/or Smith & Wesson Model 25 Revolver either in .45 Colt, I might possibly go weak in the knees, giddy like a school girl, and give the thing up.
