This if you can tell is my jetta. It has no studs comming through the strut tower.

If you can't see it looks like this car's strut tower.

How do I mount it?
I have seen a newspeed on a mk3 that used what looked like large self tapping screws (bolts) to the inside part of the tower. Should work fine as long as the screws get good purchase.

You have to drill holes in the strut tower, it is obvious where when you get a bar. Neuspeed bars are originally supplied with nutserts so that you can remove and reinstall the bar. Problem is, after a few time of removing and installing the bar for whatever maintenance issues, the nutsert and/or bolt threads get pretty messed up. I ended up just bolting the bar into the holes with a nut from inside the wheel well, it's a little tight clearance wise, but can be done. Plus I think it's actually a stronger attachment.
^^^ What they said.. Last ones of these I installed I had the struts removed, so with some crazy contortion I tack welded bolts up through the strut towers and put nuts on the top...
OK so just drill. I was worried as I have the bar. I haven't looked but is there enough room to weld a bolt/stud up from underneath? Or weld a nut underneath and bolt down? I will look eventually, but figured I would ask.
Not sure on the MK2 come to think of it, it was a MK3 I welded the bolts on.. He already had bolts down through with nuts, but he was sick of it being a t man job to remove and install the bar..... It was easier to hold the bolt in to weld.. IT was tight in there, but enough room for a few tacks...
