This little gem fell into my lap recently. Apparently, it was removed under warranty from a car in a 'shotgun troubleshooting' effort to solve a driveability problem. I suspect they figured the electro-pneumatic actuator was faulty, but it ended up being a camshaft. I couldn't get an answer as to exactly what car this came off of, but based on the part number, it appears to be for a BRM 1.9L TDI engine.
Shaft play is that of a new turbo, and the vanes and vane actuator move freely.
It would seem to me that this is a perfectly good turbo, that was removed by someone who didn't know what they were doing.
So, here's a chance to grab a 'new' turbo for a fraction of the cost.
I'm looking for $350 or best offer, as-is.
Thanks!

Borg-Warner BV-39 is indeed off the BRM. But the BRM is a 1.9 not a 2.0. The new CR's are 2.0 and have Borg-Warner BV-43's.
righto. Corrected now. thanks!
Still have it. price drop bump
Do you still have this turbo? How does one get in touch with you in the real world?
I want this... too bad I'm broke. I hope you don't sell it... til I get munnies for all the cool stuff you have...
