hello all, in my exploits I got ahold of a mk2 diesel return banjo spacer, the one perfect for tapping and putting a pressure gauge in.
my plans are to make it into an adapter for a gauge, and then make it and the gauge available to borrow for the price of postage.
good internal pressure is key, and I would love to help out my fellow diesel heads setup their pumps.
if I did this would anyone be interested in borrowing it to set internal pressure?
I might also make a socket to pull the pressure regulator out and include it with the gauge and adapter.

unless i can come up with my own, i would love to borrow it. im just having a hell of a time finding the pedestal.
I did too, and then one just appeared in front of me.
I figured I would share the wealth with everyone else.
my pump internal pressure can not be right. i built my fuel pump by myself before i knew ANYTHING about fuel pumps. and i swapped some things out that i probably shouldnt have, but whatever, it runs, but it used to run alot better. leaky pumps dont make as good of power as sealed pumps. plus, my car makes more power on WMO, and im thinking that its because the WMO is thicker than diesel, and it can build more internal pressure, thats why i think it needs adjusted.
yeah, I want to swap the timing spring in my cummins pump for a vw one and then set the internal pressure to match.
I will let you know when I get the adapter made up with a gauge.

Should include one of those laser tachs with the kit,..
they will need to know the RPM.
I dont have a laser tach, but I do have a little tach you hold against the end of a spinning shaft.
