do an impedance test on the terminal connector. Usually it is the bad apple. Its an easy fix, just pull it apart, and clean it with electrical terminal cleaner (buy a small can from an electronics store) without the protector additive. Put it together again, and test. If you get the same result as before cleaning it, cut it out, and solder in a new connector. Before joining the new connector, put a dab of dielectric grease (spark plug grease), on the female side. If cleaning cures the issue, again a dab of dielectric grease on the female side before reconnecting.
