Vanagon M-TDI conversion Oil pump question
« on: January 02, 2010, 05:06:31 pm »
I just disassembled the 98 AHU TDI motor that I’m going to use for my Vanagon M-TDI conversion.
1. It looks like I could use the original TDI oil pump by utilizing the suction extension with bypass valve from the 1.6D Vanagon pump. Is there any reason why this would not work?
2. Does anyone make different  suction extension for the TDI pump to adapt for the Vanagon oil pan?
3.Any other recommendation regarding the oil pump.

All of your questions have been asked before, I suggest you go here and spend several weeks going through the archives little by little. The search is worthless so i ended up reviewing all the posts over time.

You can use the TDI or DV pump body but you need a DV pick up tube to work with the DV oil pan.
