Just as the title says, since another question that seems to pop up here all the time is "can I put this head on this engine" I think we need to compile everything.. Should it ALL be in one write up? Should it be separated into one writeup for mech head swaps and one for Hydro head swaps?
I've done just about all that can be done with mech lifter engines, 1.5 on a 1.6, 1.6 on a 1.5, 11mm mech on a 12mm mech, 12mm mech on an 11mm mech... However I've not done anything with hydro stuff.. I'm looking for all the good poop from you guys that have (or tried to) put mechs on a hydro, hydros on a mech, AAZ's on a 1.6, 1.6 on an AAZ and all that kinda crap.. I want the "How'd you do it" "How'd it work", "WHat went wrong", "Why you can't do it".. Pics are a plus too... Links to threads containing this info would be a help too..
I know all this stuff has been discussed in serval different threads, but I thought it may be nice to have it all in one easily linked to thread in the FAQ.. I know it can be found with a search, but I know there are others like me that never seem to get the right search string to find what they need...
