installing new pump

First time installing a injector pump and im wondering how i know what cycle the injection pump is on when i time it?

The key on the shaft needs to face outlet A on the pump. It should actually be just a bit before A going in the direction of rotation. Looking at the pump installed this would be about 10 o'clock
