guage help!
« on: December 05, 2009, 11:39:35 am »
ok. so im having a little trouble with my vw. i just bought a 1981 scirocco with a 1.6 na and 5speed in it. awesome car. i cant seem to find where to plug in the sensor for a mechanical temp or where to put the line for the mechanical oil pressure gauge. i think it goes right by where the coolant returns from the block. also my tach wont work (think i need to hook it up to the w terminal on my alternator), and my speedo is going nuts it just ounces around will swing from 55 to 85 at highway speeds. any help with this would be awesome like if i need adapters for the sensors or what. also im using sunpro oil and temp gauges. thanks if anybody can help!

Your bouncing speedo is either a bend in the cable or rust. You may need to lube it up, or replace it.

Or give it to someone with a series Landrover. ;D
