rebuilding injectors
« on: November 07, 2009, 04:51:08 am »
hey guys, it has been a while since I have reassembled injectors and I was curious if when mating the injector witht the round cone thing that houses the thrust pin if the injector body should mate up with round cone thing as well as have the thrust pin seat nicely in the round cone thing? right now if I have the injector pin seated with the thrust pin then the round cone thing has about an 1/8" of play between the injector body and thrust pin.

hope this isnt to confusing, I need to get this thing running this weekend so please help,

If I understand what you mean I don't remember seeing "clearance" per se... here's some pictures etc that might help you figure it out:

In particular... where in this picture are you seeing 1/8"?

Does that No.7 "edge filter" thingy actually exist, or was it a draftsmans quirk? ???

the problem ended up being too long of a spring in a shallow spring body.

Thanks as I know have everything figured out and will fire things off tomorrow after Iwas able to set opening pressures on the nozzles after I figured this out.

Thanks,
Justin
