In the USA that is a rare car. You'd sell it easy if it were on this side of the border. Very few are known to have been sold here. I didn't think any were until hearing about them on the internet and seeing pictures.

I've never seen a genuine Rabbit TD-L or TD-GL in person.

Its a neat car you have. Even in the L base trim its worth your price more than likely - if all the drivetrain still has all the right components. And runs well, too.

The only others i've seen in past few years on the internet have all been 4door TD-GL.

Not counting conversions. Those are born every week.

SawedoffGolf has the rarest ultimatest Mark1 A1 Diesel Rabbit ever produced - I would have to say.
2door with a sport package damm mann.
No idea they ever made one ThaT Cool.
Easily worth 2Grand ..... cough cough laff
How many of those can be left with factory decals intact.

You CDN's really got rocked on some TD stuff back in the day.
84 Jetta TD GL is even a kinda-rare car in my parts.

4wheeler,
Does your Burgandy car have 4sp or 5spd ?

The steering wheel will probably be plain on an L model.

Does it have pwr steer, ac, or a tachometer ?

Post us up some UnderHood shots for historical archives if you can please.
.
Its cool to see them in unaltered/unmolested condition. The airbox and air supply / turbo / downpipe / rear deck emblem would be great shots.

Thanks man.

A buddy of mine also has a mk1 rabbit 2door factory TD. i didnt think his was a sports package since it doesnt have a sunroof/pop out windows or decals. ill be sure to get some engine bay shots, mine doesnt have a fact tach, ac or ps. it had crusie at somepoint.

i wish mine was original and unaltered(mk2 dash/cluster, round headlight swap) but i cant complain for the find, you would probably find my house and stab me if i posted how much i got it for ;)

Off topic, sorry!

My brother in law has a vynal plotter/cutter... If you can cabbage it from google images, or the sites out there that don't protect the image of course, he will pretty much make anything. I have 2 bright blue VW logos waiting to go on my jetta when it is done. I think he is limited right now to 12" width, but can do almost unlimited length. He can also do it in pieces instead of one solid sticker.

I can get other pics soon for it..  Maybe someone from here will buy it and restore it.
I`m sure that sticker would be a cool addition...
