I still can't help but think if I didn't have the knowledge to do the job I would pay to have it done. Rims like that aren't cheap and I AM. I just couldn't have ruined a wheel to get it off. I would have paid a garage or tire shop to save the rim, even if he didn't need it, he could have sold it for the cost of paying someone else probably.
All that said, man that is funny stuff. Usually if you have the knowledge of a recip saw you usually have been around enough to have a penetrating oil, non "brass" drills, and a torch or at least access to them. I have never seen brass drills-tin coated yes, but brass-maybe they are out there. I guess the beauty of the forums is that he hopefully will learn and won't be my entertainment next time----but I really hope he doesn't learn, becuase that was the best laugh I have had for a long time:D

Amen. Coming from someone like me where gas and flames go together better than me and a set of tools, even I thought of drilling through the bolt if possible to remove it. One might think a reputable tire shop, or European specialist repair shop could have removed it as well.
As bad as I am with tools, I am at least smart enough to NOT put a sawzall (with oil) to a pricey rim. And then post it on a website.
Hell, I would have posted on here asking for help first.
Let's hope he doesn't reproduce.....lolol.
Stay safe, stay well. JImmy.
The guy kept saying he couldn't get any tire shops to work on it unless he he also bought wheels from them, then later he goes on to say that now he has a good excuse to buy new rims

.
So he could've paid a tire shop to get it off then sell the set and then buy a new set. Instead he ruins the wheel, then goes out and buys a new set. Saaaaad
thats kinda like getting stuck in such a deep mud hole that they have to roll your truck on its top to get it out. thats a pretty big fail. he just sat there and dug himself so deep in the ruts that nobody could yank him from the front or rear.
