well yesterday me and my very talented wire-knowledgable friend jay decided to put in the VDO tach i bought for my three gauge console.
finally.
we used t-connection pieces to splice into the wire behind the fuse pannel that is for the W terminal on the upshift control unit.
we did the same for power and ground.
then we used the settings on the back of the gauge and changed them til we got a reading on the tach.
we still need to fine calibrate it with the tiny tach i purchased.
as of right now the upshift light comes on at 2 grand. not sure if that is the proper rpm for the upshift light, if anyone knows.
