windscreen / windshield compatibility?

will an 82 rabbit truck windshield fit on an 84 rabbit 4 door? my 82 rabbit trucks windshield is good but my 84 project 4 door's windshield is cracked so i am wondering if i could just swap them.

i think the 2 use different methods of holding the glass down.

I beleive the 82 still uses the rope-in seal. If you use the rope-in seal with the rope-in windsheild on your 84 it will fit, but the interior trim around the windsheild isn't going to fit properly if at all.
