Put new injectors on the car today and when i was bleeding em out with the car running one of the injector lines keeps giving me foamy bubbles. All the other ones have no air in em. Could this be a clogged fuel filter causing this or would i be seeing air in all of the lines?
THX
Do you have any bubbles in the inlet line??? Generally a clogged fuel filter will make show up there.. Thye line itself doesn;t seem to be leaking anywhere does it???
i need to put a section of clear line in the inlet to be sure of that. Ill double check tomorrow but there isnt any external fuel leaks that i know of. what i really need to do is get a td pump injectors and lines so i can get the turbo goin. but in the meantime id like to get this girl running right.
On an unrelated note will the later model gear reduction starter work on an 81? mine is getting really tired.
A clear section in the inlet plumbing is priceless!!!! How does the engine run other than the foamy fuel when bleeding?? Is it misfiring or rough at all??
AS far as the starter, the ones from the MK2 diesels will work, they just have an extra ear I think for the motor mount.. Just make sure it's a diesel starter.. Gasser ones will work, but generally not well, and not long...
Foamy fuel from 1 injector line. Has a miss on 1 hole at idle but when rpm's come up it goes away. Starts hard on the injectors i have now it started much easier on the other ones. The guy before me just put new nozzles in them. I think im gonna get the ones i took out of the car rebuilt professionally.
