FS: 99% Complete 1.6 turbo swap
« on: August 29, 2009, 06:18:09 pm »
This kit comes with just about everything you need. The only pieces that I am missing is the air box, however a cone filter will work just fine or you can modify a digi2 air box etc. The only other thing is the CCV system. You`ll notice in the pictures that the proper TD valve cover is not included. Instead there is a hose that has been modified so you can use your NA valve cover.

What you are buying:
1) T3 turbo - bit of shaft play up and down, no in and out. It`s been modified for use with a boost controller. If you want it back to stock let me know and I will change it back, your choice. If you look close you will see one broken bolt. I will remove that before shipping, either myself or I`ll pay a machine shop to do it if I can`t.
2) Downpipe. I have one for a MK1 and one for a MK2. It`s your choice. The Mk2 one did rot through in the typical spot however it was patched up and looks like it`s holding. If you prefer to upgrade to the MK3 style downpipe add $40 and I`ll swap that in instead
3) turbo to manifold bolts
4) exhaust manifold
5) complete intake manifold
6) CCV hose
7) Intake hose
8) Boost hose
9) oil feed line
10) oil return line (very hard to find)
11) oil pan
12) oil filter flange stand
13) oil cooler with hoses and metal coolant line
14) MK2 rear motor mount (apparently they are different)

Any questions please don`t hesitate to ask.

I`m looking for $550 OBO

I will ship anywhere in the world although it gets spendy if we have to cross an ocean.

rear MK2 mounts are not so different from my experiences. i had a 92 jetta with a digi 1.8 gasser, and it had a cracked rear motor mount. and i just so happened to have a diesel MK2 mount laying around off my TD engine. bolted right up to the gasser engine and rubbber mount no problem.

but thats just me, they very well may be different, but they are interchangeable is what im trying to say actually.

I heard that the difference on the non turbo ones is the area between the 4 bolts isn't as open so there isn't enough room for the oil return pipe. I know that physically the mk2 ones all bolt up, even to mk1 and mk3 blocks.

oil return pipe? doesnt that run out of the turbo and straight down to the oil drain in the pan? i never had any problems with an oil drain hitting the rear motor mount. but about half of a Vnt hits the rear motor mount. it really sucks, cause i have a nice 92 jetta to mess with, just need to figure out turbo mounting.

On the Mk1 and Mk2s with stock turbos it goes through the center of the mount. Not sure about mk3s, I can't remember.
