TD engine swap

I'm installing an 84 TD motor into a 91 Jetta, the 91 has the AVX transmission, Does anyone have experience with this engine tranmission combination?

Seems a little low geared to me, I do a lot of highway driving.  The 84 TD and 7A seemed about ideal for my style of driving.

Anyone have any suggestions for an engine transmission combination for this A2 conversion?  Thanks.

AVX has the .89 fifth right?  Probably too low for that engine.  The turbos usually used transmissions with the .75 fifth.  You can find a .75 fifth gear in various transmissions used in later model TD's, including my personal favorite the AGS.
