I completey gutted it to the bare body/ frame before strip and paint

Body was painted seperatley , doors , new fenders , new tailgate all painted on flat saw horses

The truck had 35k original and the stock core support was dinged up like most...

It was a fun project , I spent more for the new body parts and paint than I did for the truck itself

I did a 82 lt blue complete also and a VW TDI cup driver came down from Toronto  and drove it back with a 4speed and no air last summer...

It was a first for my 16 year old son and I...

I have done many aircraft projects  1950 Beech, 1953 T34 Military Trainer

The parts I couldnt find I know produce for the wholesale MK1 market: Tailgate bumpers, Hood/fender bumpers

Iam currently making a extrusion die for the rear Bump stop's for the caddy

I own the die tooling for over 465 different models of aircraft for extrusions and die's ( Die-Cut )gaskets and I just finshed the seals for the Ducati carbon fiber mirrors for the desmosedici I sell 750.00 per set

They made 1500 of the V-4 998cc 210hp motorcycles with a weight of 355 lbs

Cheers to all on the Forum

Cool project! I would like to see some pictures if you have any please.
Im currently trying to " restore" my caddy and finding out that these sorts of things are really really expensive depending how far into it you want to go. Oh well just a little bit at a time and  ill have it on the road in ten years. maybe.... ;D
