It's not a disaster, just a couple of easily overcome hurtles. One thing is where  the exhaust manifold and turbo sit on an AAZ will cause interference with the left side engine support. There are 2 ways around it. Either you or have someone fabricate a new support ,side stepping the AAZ setup, or use an exhaust manifold from a JX engine and the appropriate turbo to match. This would be my preference and i even have one of those manifolds to sell [imagine the coincidence!], as i'm not going to bother turbo changing my Transporter. The other issue is the oil drain for the turbo. There may be a question as to whether the drain that goes into the block is low enough. The better way is to use ,again , a JX oil pan [got one of those also!!!], and have a new drain line found or made up.

Well my engine is already in. I had no interfearance issue with the mounts on it. I got a jx pan with the return bung in it. Which is plugged with a bolt at the moment. Still have the stock drain line hooked up. So I guess all Im wondering is am I damaging my engine at the moment by running it setup this way? If so I need to change the drain line to the bottom?

So i don't understand what the question is then. Are you concerned because the motor is tilted so far down on it's side ? If so, don't sweat it , the factory produced vanagons like that.
