Nice. What products did you use?
Excellent. I'm planning on doing this too.
That paint job only cost you $50 in materials?!?
Nice work man!
Very nicely done. Don't get caught with dual plates on her though; your lawyer's retainer will be more than an engine rebuild.
Nice that looks really good.
How many hours did it take you?
Car looks good. One thing to keep in mind, any tremclad paintjobs I've seen are bad for fading. Only one I ever did myself looked great when I did it, but lost it's shine big time in about 6 months. It was a lot of ytears ago, but I can tell you I sprayed the car with automotive reducer.... Maybe should have used a hardener?? Or just brushed/rolled the car with no reducer?? Let us know what it looks like a year from now.
I am going to roll on my $50 paint job, we'll see how well that goes for me...
lol what can i use for a sealer/clearcoat? Can, you buy jugs of that stuff and then toll it on too? Or whaT?
If you read through the links in the original posting, they say to use Tremclad and mineral spirits for reducing it 50%. Roll on light coats. Won't get a lot of coverage on one coat but because it is so thin, it will self level. Once you get enough coats on, wet sand and buff. I wouldn't bother with clearcoat, that's for a different type of paint.
if you look at my "new paint = time for poll" thats my car with tremclad sprayed final coat, rolled flat primer coat.
ps. did you spray or roll
