• I just punched a hole in the radiator I had for my NA.  Will any mk2 radiator work, or is there something special about the diesel or turbo diesel in particular?

• The turbo diesel radiator has something like 15-20% greater cooling capacity than the NA diesel radiator. Many folks use these on gassers as an upgrade.
