fuel filler flap mk2 golf

OK need some help from fellow mk2 owners

my fuel filler flap is not sprung by a spring or anything like Ive seen some BMW or opel cars have move the flap and it will be held open by spring tension and also remain closed with spring tension, my flap is just loose Ive held it down with a coil spring hooked to the door and a little hole in the filling tubing rubber..

Can someone post a pic of the spring setup on the hinge..
