earlier tdi AHU or AFN, big vnt with pressure actuator or big wg turbo, land rover pump, big injectors.

AAZ, same turbo as above, gtd/merc injectors, modified pump 10/11mm.

SB 1.6 with AAZ 1.9 head, with above parts. Less lower end torque but revs higher and can use standard rallye gearing then

I still can't understand why you are going to dump a 200+bhp all day long engine for (comparatively) much less powerful, inefficient and unreliable engines..

a 1.6 might get to 200bhp... once and you will need a pump genius for that
a 1.9: the same, but a bit easier

if you really want it to be a diesel, and has to be mechanical, you need a pump genius to make one for you.

or.. just make a good remap and use all the hardware you already got.
your ecu probably doesn't even have to be opened!

Well there are other reasons too as im planning to move abroad and it would be easier to sell the engine and start again than transport it with me (i already have a van full of car parts to take with me lol) plus i dont really need the engine yet as the one fitted is still going strong. but we will see if i get any bids if not i may consider breaking the engine to try and get some money back. i was interested to see if i could modify the injector to suit my needs as i have so much money invested in the engine and not sure i will get much back

Cheers
