Need VW 1.6TD connecting rod

if you have or know anyone with a 1.6L TD, has to be a turbo diesel connecting rod let me know!! i need one ASAP

sucked up water and it bent like an accordian LOL.........

NA and TD rods are the same - I have both engines and they are exactly same - the only difference are the pistons - they have squirter cutouts

I believe the wrist pin diameter is different though.  Isn't the NA 22mm and the TD 24mm?

IIRC TD pistons go right into a NA so the wrist pins would have to be the same ;D

'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

How did it suck up the water, through an air intake in the grill or something during the rain?  I have my intake in the grill too connected to the factory air filter and I thought about that happening but it has to get through the filter element too and I've been lucky so far.

well its my bros car but i guess he though the puddle wasnt very deep and it turned out to be over a foot!!!!!

water came up and over the hood then the car stalled right away......

as far as TD and NA there is a difference VW builder said you need a TD connecting rod


seriously no one has one?????

Well that makes me feel a little safer, I was wondering about rain getting in but I don't think I will be submarining with it anytime soon.  P.S. I don't think there is a difference in the rods either.  I can tell you that the wristpins are the same dia. because I just measured some 1.6 T/D and N/A pistons I have here with the pins in them, same dia., .945 in.
