finally assembling the pieces for my 72 westfalia diesel/vegoil conversion project. Have an adapter plate on the way, but now I need an audi fox/vw dasher flywheel. Anyone have one kicking around?

a Vanagon diesel flywheel should work as well, if anyone has one of them!

a vanagon Diesel Flywheel will not do it. the starter ring is on the front side of the flywheel, the audi/fox mount the starter on the rear side (engine)

also note that theres the possibility that a FOX/AUDI flywheel will NOT just fit within the bellhousing.  

ask me how I know.. I have both sets of items.

the I4 adapter that uses the audi fox flywheel and the 3bolt Automatic starter unit uses a VW super beetle Starter ring (i'm trying to source more) the part number is 113.105.333A

now keep in mind that the Formula Vee series runs MID ENGINED, and the adapter will mount your engine upside down, all you have to do is drill+tap 2 new tranny mount bolts.

Is the Fox flywheel the same as the 4000 diesel? It probably is since the Quantum/Dasher share components?

If I can find it, I think I have an audi 4k/dasher/etc flywheel that's been resurfaced and stuff. I'll check around :D
