This is confusing. So do you have a 1Z, an AAZ, or a GTD? Because a GTD is a 1.6 and the 1Z, AHU, AAZ cranks will definitely not fit.

If it helps I have a AHU/1Z crank in my AAZ. I did this to solve the crank nose issue for good. Finding a crank at a reasonable prie wasn't too hard. I believe they are the same till after 1998 when they changed the block to the ALH. Ask Jimfoo, he'll tell you all about AAZ blocks being identical to 1z AHU blocks.

Exactly, that's why I think the OP got his codes mixed up. I assume he actually has a 1.6 GTD.

bad miss understanding, it was a aaz engine with broken crankshft, not mine.

what the owner told me was that the 1Z didn“t fit. so he got an ahu engine and replaced all the components and added the electronics.

its running fine now...

sorry about the lag...

yea... PD100 rods work on the AAZ engine... so i'd imagine that there is a very good chance that the crankshaft would fit also.
