okay, i have an 81 rabbit diesel with less than 70k on a replaced motor. the interior needs work, the body is straight and has only a little surface rust in a few places. gti wheels with good tires, 4spd. headliner gone (what a surprise) and she is going to need some cv/strut work from what i can tell. been getting 42 mpg for the last 5 months travelling 84 miles round trip to work... there is something weird about the way the A/C unit is installed, and i am no mechanic. i have some pictures and can take more if need be. you can email me at
