fan problems
« on: April 24, 2009, 12:15:02 pm »
My fan only turns on when I have the AC on. I don't like to turn on my AC because it starts squealing and is annoying. It also turns on when I turn on the heat, but so does the AC compressor. I don't know the first thing about this kind of problem but I'm thinking its the thermo sensor. The after run also does not work. Thanks

check the temp of the rad.  i usually use my fingers touching it briefly (it can get quite hot). its probably the thermo sensor if the rad is getting hot enough.  you can pull off the harness from the thermoswitch and jump the terminals with a paperclip or other metallic piece.
